Welcome to the Franchise Scout, presented by FranNet Western Canada.

As you explore the range of current and future episodes, it might be helpful to know where—and who—it is coming from. The obligatory introduction episode is a great place to start. Join me, Grant Bullington—your Franchise Scout host—to learn all about how to find, research, and start your ideal franchise.

We begin with some background and history, starting with how I got into the franchise industry and continuing to my current role as a franchise specialist. Let’s cover the ins and outs of how I act as a franchisee-franchisor matchmaker and clear up any mystery as to how this works and how I might be able to help. 

But most importantly, we talked about you and why I created the Franchise Scout podcast. Countless people have started down the path of researching franchises. Enthusiastic at first, only to lose momentum without getting very far. The drop-off could be explained by any number of reasons like:

• Not knowing where to start, 
• Don’t know what to look for, or how to find it. 
• Overwhelmed by the array of options, 
• Get confused by the research 
• Simply lose hope after investing the time without any promising discovery

I love the franchise industry and how it can provide access to safe, proven, and rewarding business opportunities to hard-working Canadians. And I don’t want you to see your dreams remain out of reach because you simply need some information, education, or direction.
